F/B ' ΑΙΓΙΝΑ '

1966

The family business began in 1966 when Dimitrios Simantonis manufactured a Greek origin passenger ferry boat under the name ''AIGINA'' built in 1966 in Zervas , Perama that loaded and unloaded passengers from Piraeus to Aegina. It was the first ever open-type vessel with configured bow to be ever constructed in a Greek shipyard.

F/B ' ANNY '

Several years later in 1980 Mr. D. Simantonis built another greek origin ferry vessel named ''ANNY" (1980) constructed in Kamitsi shipyard Perama , carrying passnegers across the Aegean sea and the Saronic.

in 2005 Mr. Charalampos Simantonis , son of S. Dimitrios founded SILVER . The company managed since its inception, 10 bulk carriers & general cargo ships in total, 6 fully owned carriers which specialized in bulk cargoes, successfully in sugar .The Company also has managed 4 small bulk carriers and 3 small ferries.

The management and operation of Silver’s Fleet during its 17 years span, has offered sample experience and allowed time to establish strategic counterpart relationships for the future.

SILVER's affiliate company ''Med Ferry Co'' , which specializes in carrying wheeled cargo around Greek ports, had also managed 1 Ro/Ro and 1 gen. cargo vessel since its establishment in 2015.
