Silver Bulk S.A. is an established Marshall Islands company since 2020, under the law 89 provisions , but has a rich history going back decades of sea trade and shipping management .The outfit aims to provide comprehensive ship management services as they specialized the last 17 years to Handy cargo ship ownership, having managed until now 15 commercial vessels over all , 10 owned bulk carriers & gen. cargo vessels , 1 Ro/Ro vessel and additionally ,4 small bulk carriers .

Mr. Charalampos Simantonis is the founder, President, CEO and Managing Director of Silver Bulk S.A and Med Ferry Shipping Company . He studied Maritime Economics at “Universitario Navale Di Napoli” (Italy) , is the son of Dimitrios G. Simantonis and continues the long tradition of family business in the Shipping Market with success since 1989.

Professional Experience
Mr. Charalampos Simantonis started his career in shipping by establishing his first shipping company, back in 1989 with passenger and car ferries.
During the ‘90s enters the dry cargo market and has been active in the sugar trade in the Mediterranean for over 20 years. Since then, he has been the founder of various shipping companies, operating numerous cargo vessels of 1,500 till 10,000 dwt.
In 2005 he establishes “ SILVER ”, a Marshall Islands company, under the law 89 provisions which later changed the tradename to '' SILVER BULK '' which specialized in grains transport , pallets and wheeled cargo under affiliate company '' Med Ferry'' ,established in 2015

Achievements

Mr. Charalampos Simantonis is a well- known and respectable individual in the Greek Shipping community and abroad, under his capacity as the President of the Hellenic Shortsea Ship-owners Association, (H.S.S.A.) - founded in 1940, the oldest Shipping Association - since 2012, while running his own shipping business. Mr. Charalampos Simantonis is also a BoD Member of the Hellenic Chamber of Shipping since 2010, NAT, and OIKOS NAYTOY and he is a member of various Shipping Committees such as RINA administration Committee, BCA College Committee and others.
Mr. Simantonis is a ship-owner and entrepreneur with vision and innovative ideas. He took the leadership of the H.S.S.A. and within 5 years he multiplied the members and renovated the profile of the association. His efforts lead to increase the recognition of the association especially abroad in collaboration with the existing team of the association. As a result, the Greek shortsea fleet, has to present a wealth of ongoing projects and solutions offered from H.S.S.A.
